Since July 8, 2021 there are some innovations in the Austrian Battery Ordinance. The amendment makes it a duty to appoint an authorized representative for foreign manufacturers/distributors, but also contains other important adjustments. The main goal is to implement the EU Battery Directive into national law. This is similar to the changes that were applied earlier to the electrical equipment ordinance.
