Exporters take note: Since the beginning of the year, you no longer have to deal with the legal obligation to label with the "Green Dot" in Spain.
This eliminates license fees and administrative burden.
Companies can now voluntarily continue to use the symbol on their packaging or have it removed, as it does not indicate anything about the recyclability of the packaging.

Attention Amazon sellers: WEEE numbers must be registered by June 5, 2023
As of July 1, 2023, there is a new verification obligation for online marketplaces, which is also relevant for sellers of electrical and electronic equipment. Amazon has now announced that selling partners must register their WEEE registration numbers for their products no later than June 5, 2023, as Amazon will begin to suspend non-compliant offers from that date.
Sellers and manufacturers must provide the registration numbers for their products to the marketplace operators in order to avoid consequences such as the suspension of their sales offerings. This means that there is a need for action for all sellers of electrical and electronic equipment who sell their products through the Amazon Marketplace.
To secure sales on Amazon, apply for your WEEE number now!

Finland's new packaging regulation: Prepare for the obligations in 2024
Will your company have reporting obligations in 2024? Get ready!
In Finland, extended producer responsibility (EPR) for packaging currently applies only to companies with a global annual turnover of at least 1 million euros. However, from January 1, 2024, this turnover threshold will be removed. This means that from that point onwards, small companies that place packaging on the Finnish market and were previously exempt from registration obligations will be required to register and will be subject to the new regulations.
What is the new packaging regulation?
From January 1, 2024, all companies that place packaging on the Finnish market will be responsible for the recovery and recycling of their packaging, regardless of their turnover.
What does this mean for your company?
If your company places packaging on the Finnish market, you need to prepare for the new obligations that will apply from January 1, 2024. Affected companies must join a packaging recovery system and pay recycling fees based on the amount of packaging they place on the market.
This may require a review and adjustment of your internal processes to ensure you can meet the new requirements.
