Draft passed the Bundestag without major adjustments
On April 15th, the Bundestag passed the amendment to the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act. This revision does not bring in any major adjustments to either the collection of display appliances or the acceptance option for primary treatment systems. Solely the requirements for authorized representatives were tightened. In addition, the political parties CDU/CSU and SPD have spoken out in favor of introducing a uniform collection point logo.
These are the most important changes for manufacturers and distributors of disposable and rechargeable batteries
The new German Batteries Act (BattG2) came into force on January 1th, 2021. In this context, the German stiftung ear plays an important role in the disposal not only of electrical and electronic devices, from now on also for old batteries and accumulators. What changes were enacted and what are the consequences for battery manufacturers?
France's highest administrative court has granted emergency motions to immediately suspend France's new packaging labeling regulation. The court's decision suspends the penalty payment that would otherwise come into force on April 1, 2021. The main proceedings that will now follow will probably last between 10 to 18 months.
